Indians: Chris Perez setback leaves Vinnie Pestano in as closer

Indians’ closer Chris Perez has suffered a setback in his return to the Tribe after giving up three homeruns and five runs in just a single inning during his rehab start on Tuesday.

Perez originally landed on the disabled list back on May 27 due to right shoulder stiffness and was on track to return as the closer for the Indians as soon as Friday, but instead, Perez will be re-evaluated meaning that Vinnie Pestano will continue to close for the  Tribe.

On the season, Chris Perez had already blown two saves in just 17 appearances. Last season alone, Perez was responsible for four blown saves in 61 appearances.
