Following the opening week of the College Football season the AP has released their poll. Alabama stayed at #1 but there was shakeup behind them. The Ohio State Buckeyes were dropped to #3 with the Oregon Ducks switching spots with them to #2. Clemson, fresh off their victory over then #4 Georgia replaced the Bulldogs at #4. Georgia fell to #11 after their opening night defeat.

The Buckeyes struggled in their game against Buffalo after starting the game strong. The finished with a 40-20 win but the offense was sloppy throughout after a strong first quarter. The Bucks have a pretty weak schedule this year and will be judged on performance more so then just victories. Coach Urban Meyer was not pleased with the team’s performance so expect a larger margin of victory over San Diego State. The team will also have Bradley Roby and others return from either suspensions or injury this week as well.

The season is young but Clemson’s victory could do alot to push them up the polls if they remain undefeated, especially if the Georgia team they beat starts to run off some victories. Alabama did not look great in their opener but will get a lot of grace in the polls after 2 straight national titles. Oregon has some tough games in the Pac 12 but continues to hum on offense even after Chip Kelly’s departure.
