As the NFL Season kicks off the previews have continued. We covered the Power Rankings from ESPN yesterday and this morning we covered Mike Freeman’s grades going into Week 1. Tonight right before the game we review SI’s previews that includes their rankings for the AFC North and Peter King’s MMQB 1 minute video.

1 of the SI writers ranked the Baltimore Ravens first in the division and the Cincinnati Bengals 3rd, the other has the Bengals first which tells you the competitive nature of the division. Both have the Cleveland Browns last in the division, noting they may have the division’s best defense. Averaging their rankings the Ravens are tops with 1.5, Bengals at 2, Steelers with 2.5 and the Browns at 4. Burke believes the 3 top teams will win 9 games at least each, which doesn’t bode well for the up and coming Browns, though he does not predict their win total. Farrar notes that the Bengals have a dominate defense that will lead them to the top of the division and that Brandon Weeden could hold back the Browns.

Peter King’s video preview of all of the teams is very interesting. King notes that he is impressed with the Browns depth in the front 7 and included being impressed with Paul Kruger and Barkevious Mingo giving the Browns a pass rush they have missed for the past few years.

Short and sweet for now. Time to get excited for the opening game. Look for our preview of the Browns and Dolphins matchup between offensive weapons and those defending them. We have already reviewed the offensive line and front 7 battles as well.
