The Browns, and Joe Haden, will have to deal with Calvin Johnson this afternoon. Johnson is active per the above Tweet. The impact of him playing is obviously huge. Whether he can compete at his same level is doubtful. Yet the Browns will have to put Haden, and perhaps safety help, on Johnson all game which limits their options. Johnson’s presence, and ability to stretch the field, should help the Lions open up the rest of the field.

Reggie Bush and Brandon Pettigrew could benefit from underneath passes as Johnson clears out the defense. The Lions other receivers now will also not have to deal with Haden. How Johnson deals with Haden’s physical play could be interesting to watch. Can Johnson’s knee handle being jammed at the line. How does he deal with a jump ball and coming down on his feet? It is very possible that he could have a setback during this game as physical as the Browns defense is.

Expect the Lions to go deep to Johnson early in the game to stretch the field. How he, the Lions and the Browns respond to Megatron will be interesting. Can Haden by his Optimus Prime?

Earlier today we put up our game prediction and narrative this morning with both Johnson in and out.
