Lebron Vs. Kyrie: Looking at Year 3

While many Cavalier faithful (and us), as well as national media, have discussed the possible return of the former King of Cleveland, Lebron James, following this season we will analyze a different aspect. Kyrie Irving has just started his 3rd year in the league, Mike Brown is back with the team in his first year back and the team is focused on making the playoffs for the first time in years. The bench has been upgraded with the additions of Jarrett Jack and Andrew Bynum, along with rookie 1st round pick Anthony Bennett. Irving, the star of the team, has been surrounded by athleticism, size and some shooting to compliment his all around game.

In 2005-06 James and the Cavaliers were coming off a 42-40 season, but barely missed the playoffs. Lebron was entering his third year in the league, Mike was in his first year as the head coach and the team was focused on making the playoffs for the first time in years. The starting lineup and bench was upgraded with the additions of Larry Hughes, Donyell Marshall and Damon Jones. James, the star of the team, was surrounded by size and shooting to compliment his extraordinarily athletic game.
