Each week on Tuesday ESPN releases their Power Rankings on Tuesday around noon. While they have no impact on the season, many look forward to their release and the debate that follows. Each week we will review the Browns’ ranking, their previous week’s opponent, their upcoming opponent and the 5 above and 5 below them in the rankings. We will look at how the Browns can climb in the rankings and avoid falling.

Cleveland Browns

Ranking: 19th

Thoughts: The Browns dropped 1 spot this week being passed by both the Ravens and the Eagles. The Eagles won against the beat up Packers and deserve to rise. The Ravens, with the same record as the Browns 4-5, won against the Bengals in a ugly game but still rose 3 spots. The Browns have a huge opportunity this week, for both these rankings and the AFC North standings, against the division leading Bengals.

Last Week’s Opponent: Bye Week

Ranking:

Thoughts:

This Week’s Opponent: Cincinnati Bengals

Ranking: 10

Thoughts: The Bengals only dropped 2 spots after their ugly game loss to the Ravens. The Bengals probably couldn’t drop much more as they are the lowest ranked 6 win team in the rankings. A loss to the Browns, which would tie the two teams in the loss column, would drop the Bengals much farther then their last 2 losses have.

Next Rankings 14 – 18
