On Martin Luther King Day the Cleveland Cavaliers will kick off their Annual Black Heritage Celebration with a 1PM game against the Dallas Mavericks. The Cavaliers are coming off of a successful 3-2 five game road trip and return with the first of four events as a part of this celebration. The Cavaliers Campy Russell made this statement in the teams release on their website.

“Engaging students, fans and the community during the Black Heritage Celebration is important to us because it brings different groups of people together in the spirit of unity that this initiative represents,” said Campy Russell, Cavaliers director of alumni relations and BHC committee member. “We’re happy to continue the tradition with State Farm to make this year’s celebration both meaningful and impactful through community and education-focused programs.”

The remaining events will be Feb. 5th, 11th and 28th.

All of us here at FoS hope you can take a moment, or the whole day, to celebrate and remember all the great things that Dr. Martin Luther Jr has done. His impact directly and his impact on others in regards to civil rights has changed our country for the better. Take time to watch his “I have a dream” speech below. The first video is the longer version, the second a shorter version.
