Kyrie Irving competed in the 3 point shooting contest last night, a competition that he won last year. He, like all of the participants, was wearing a Eastern Conference All Star warm up over his Cleveland Cavaliers jersey. The other competitors took off their warm-up revealing their team’s jersey. Irving did not do so. That caused Cleveland Twitter to freak out and read into that decision. Below is a selection of tweets, ones that were sensible to post. Welcome to the psychology of a Cleveland sports fan, especially after Lebron James left the team.
Kyrie Irving so ashamed to rep the Cavaliers he ain't even showing the jersey

Funny how Kyrie Irving is hiding that Cavs jersey. #AllStarWeekend

@KyrieIrving Better out on that Cavs jersey during the game and take off the All-Star Jersey or you'll get booed in Cleveland.

My boy dean noticed that @KyrieIrving was wearing his east jersey instead of the cavs jersey last night. Who thinks he says in Cleveland?
— Randy Calabrese (@JoeySodacan) February 16, 2014
Yep RT @MFFeLtman: Kyrie Irving kept his warmup on cause he doesn't want you to know he plays for Cleveland.

And finally in a great overreaction after two days of All Star type competition:

So many people saw so much in this one little thing. Maybe Irving was so focused on the competition that he didn’t think about it. Maybe he wanted to keep his shoulders/biceps warm. Maybe he is so excited to be an All Star that he wants to keep the jersey on as often as possible. He gets to wear his Cavs jersey almost daily.
Did you read anything into this? Is it exhausting to be a Cleveland fan sometime? Do you think this neurotic behavior is a reason players don’t want to play in Cleveland often? Do you think it could lead to Irving leaving? Do you think he is out the door already or will stick around for years?
