D’Qwell Jackson has been cut, Derek Carr could reportedly be the Cleveland Browns QB of the Future and CBS Sports came out with their Dual 2014 NFL Mock Draft. Been a busy day, we even covered how high the Browns can trade up in the first round without giving up their 2nd rounder and could the team have interest in Darrelle Revis. (You can click on all of those links to open those stories in new windows.) Now we get to cover the new Chris Burke’s SI Two Rounds 2014 NFL Mock Draft.

4. Cleveland Browns (4-12):  Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M.

There might be a temptation to draft Sammy Watkins or even Mike Evans in this spot to pair with rising superstar Josh Gordon. But who’s going to throw them the ball? Brian Hoyer might be OK in spurts, maybe even for the entire 2014 season. Eventually, the Browns need to find a long-term answer at QB, and the electrifying Manziel would work.

Burke has Blake Bortles still on the board here as well as Sammy Watkins. He goes with Manziel here which fits the old narrative that has been around since the end of the season. There is some excitement that would come to First Energy Field with Manziel but his long term outlook is unknown.
