"Don't Anticipate" Cleveland Browns Franchise Tag for TJ Ward With 1 Hour to Go

With 1 hour to go till the Franchise Tag deadline Jason La Canfora is reporting that the Cleveland Browns will not Franchise Tag TJ Ward:

While it is still possible for the team to change its mind La Canfora has a good history of being right on these things. Anything could happen between now and 4PM. The Browns could sign Ward to a long term contract, they could put the Tag on Alex Mack or they could get Mack’s deal done so they can use the Tag on Ward.

With new coach Mike Pettine and new GM Ray Farmer its anyone’s guess what they currently are valuing in regards to the two big free agents. The best case for the Browns is to sign one and tag the other but it would take some quick work to get that done. Deadlines do spur movement and this one is moving our way. If the Browns don’t resign or tag Ward expect the Jarius Byrd discussions to pick up quickly.

Who do you least want to lose of the 2? Do the Browns have to use the Tag if they don’t get both signed? What sign would it be if they don’t tag Ward?
