2014 NFL Mock Drafts are plentiful. Here at FoS we try to deliver to you Mock Drafts from around the internet that we feel are interesting or done by reputable writers. Earlier today we gave you our 6 pack of Free Agents that would be a perfect start for the Cleveland Browns off-season.  You will have to click the link, which will open in a new window, to see who the players are but we added a WR, a CB, 2 safeties, a OG and a WR. Today’s 7 Round Mock Draft will be based on those signings. Just like the Browns we will draft based on the talent we were able to acquire in free agency. We are still using FanSpeak’s Simulator to make sure the draft is as close as possible to what will really happen.

#4 – Jadeveon Clowney

This was a tough choice. With both Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles off the board we were left with the 2 players that could have an immediate and dynamic impact on the team: Clowney and Sammy Watkins. With the addition of a WR in free agency we are still intrigued by adding Watkins to finish off the receiving core for a long time, as well as give the Browns insurance against any Josh Gordon troubles. In the end we go with the other worldly Clowney to create a dynamic front 7. Clowney would be used similar to Mario Williams and given flexibility all over the field. In a tradition 3-4 look Clowney would line up as the DE along side Phil Taylor and Desmond Bryant. Behind them at linebacker would be Barkevious Mingo, Jabaal Sheard, Paul Kruger (moved to ILB) and the free agent we already signed. The Front 7 would be a nasty group that can rush the passer, stop the run and generally create havoc for Mike Pettine.

How did Clowney fall to #4? If he falls to #4 they should be picking up the phone and calling ATL. They only fall back 2 spots and OAK is going to take a QB. So they should be able to grab Mack or Watkins, and get additional picks. I like most of your picks, especially waiting till the 3rd and betting Garappolo. Also in the 3rd if Hyde is still on the board i think the Browns make a move up to grab him. I don’t see the point of taking a 2nd QB in the 5th. Either package it to move up in the 3rd and grab Hyde, or look to add depth at another position.

Don’t like Lee’ not that good, had a bad injury filled year and there are others who are better! But don’t know who was left to pick from! Also don’t like the running back from BC ! Looked very bad in drills and when playing all star game, wouldn’t be my choice, again don’t know, who is left to choose from, but this guy isn’t as good as Richardson and is a stiff!! Garropolo won’t be there when they pick in the third, He’ll be gone and so will Clowney in the first ! There is a lot of wishful thinking in this so called draft!!

The picks have Clowney, Lee, and Su’a Filo, and possibly Mitchell either starting or playing major minutes. I can agreed all four would fit in as either starters. Four starters out the first six picks would make this a quality draft. However, we need to hit on the bottom four picks as well. I would like to have at least two of these picks develop into starters within their rookie contacts and the others for depth. Therefore, Smith, Archer, and Powell are wasted picks. For Loston, I would had picked the best available ILB with size and coverage ability.
