Lauvao struggled in Cleveland after being selected in the 3rd round. In Washington he will be expected to protect/block for Robert Griffin III and could get blamed for any sacks caused by Griffin holding the ball. Jay Gruden, Washington’s new head coach, played opposite Lauvao twice a year with the Bengals and should have enough information to want him on his team. For Browns fans the question is what information? Hopefully a new start will help him fulfill his promise he showed in college.
The contract is high for a guard who hasn’t shown much but spending will be up this season with the salary cap the way it is.
Any fond memories of Shaun? Sad to see him go or glad to watch him walk? What should the Browns do with their line needs?
