Kyrie Irving Knocked Out of Game in 1st Half With Injury

The Cleveland Cavaliers have not made the 3rd game of their 3 game West Coast road swing a competitive one. Things got worse as star Kyrie Irving got hurt and will not return to the game. Irving’s arm was hit as Blake Griffin came down from a shot attempt. Irving did not react right away but started to massage his arm after arguing the referee’s call. He was taken back to the locker room and soon word came that he would not return to the game.

Irving and the Cavs were struggling already at that point including Irving shooting 0-5 before leaving with his injury. He did have 4 rebounds and 2 assists but the team wasn’t able to get in any type of groove in the first half. Luol Deng looked like he also injured himself, he seemed to roll his ankle, and a foul was committed to get him out of the game. He said he was fine and was immediatly put back in the game.

Overall not a good game but after the big comeback against the Warriors anything is possible. Without Irving Jarrett Jack and Dion Waiters will have to carry the scoring load. Will Deng’s ankle tighten up? Will the team roll over seeing winning 2 out of 3 as a good road trip?

How worried are you about Irving’s injury? Does the fact that it didn’t look very bad when you saw it give you pause for concern or less concern?
