The Cleveland Cavaliers season can be described in many ways. We have adopted Waiting for Next Year’s Ben Cox’s description of #SeasonOfHuh. Yesterday was no different. Kyrie Irving and Dion Waiters decided to have an interview together after practice to try to clear things up. The link to that interview will be below but before you see it, either for the first time, or again, we hearken back to the most awkward interview possibly ever: Dwight Howard and Stan Van Gundy -
The added slides are helpful in pointing out the weirdness of the interview. It was an interview that seemed forced and as if it was trying to get a message across that wasn’t true. Those type of interviews and situations create more questions then they do answers.
Which leads us to the “press conference” held by the two Cavaliers, one that doesn’t seem to answer the questions, even though the try very hard to do so.
The said all the right things. Their body language was appropriate. Yet something seemed very Van Gundy/Howard like about the interview. Can you put your finger on it? Is there something there that we should of caught during the 7 minute interview?
What do you believe? Do you believe they like each other? Do you think they can succeed together?
