#4 – Blake Bortles

With all 3 QBs on the board the Browns decide to get their future guy here with Bortles. He has the size, mobility, heart and football IQ to be the best QB in this draft. He isn’t at this moment, Teddy Bridgewater is, but with a year of coaching to work on his footwork and mechanics just a little bit he could be a Top 15 QB in his second season. Many fans will want Sammy Watkins, or an offensive tackle here, but an argument can be made that a Top 15 QB in the league for 10 years is better then a Hall of Fame OT or WR.

The Browns have not had a QB that they can build around for years. Brandon Weeden was an old rookie forced to play right away and Tim Couch was brought in after sitting a couple games. The Browns will be smart to give Brian Hoyer the starting nod and let Bortles learn for at least a year. With the talent on the defense and offense, plus the talent we are about to add in the draft the team will be competitive and won’t need to rush Bortles, a mistake made too often in the NFL.
