NFL Draft Day Trip: Day 1 - Quarterbacks (Video & Text)

After my previous video, about half way through my NFL Draft Day Trip I stopped for gas. The entire trip listening to ESPN’s Mike and Mike got me more and more excited for my time in NYC. The Cleveland Browns are in a place in a great draft to have a huge impact. Not only with their 2 first rounders but their high 2nd rounder and 4 picks in the 3rd and 4th total. The Browns also are the 4th pick in a draft that supposedly has 4 stud guys. Could be a good position to trade back a bit.

No matter what the Browns have to answer their QB need, either be it Brian Hoyer or in the draft, the position has been a turn style at Cedar Point, and not in a good way. It got me thinking about the QBs. One thought I have had often is the important of the right place at the right time. Would Tom Brady of been successful if he had to start right away? Could Ryan Leaf had succeeded if he was a 5th round pick that sat for 3 years? Here is video #2, and if you missed #1 check it out here.

As you think about QBs and their development how does it impact how you see this year’s draft? How does Kyle Shanahan and the new regime impact your thoughts?
