It was reported earlier by The Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot that the former Tennessee Volunteers QB Vince Young was cut by the Cleveland Browns this morning.
Young, who was signed just a couple of weeks ago, worked out with the Cleveland Browns team at their mini camp which was short lived. Little to nothing was reported on his success or performance at mini camp. By the team cutting him, one could imagine that he did not do so well as he wanted to.
On his NFL career, the Houston, Texas native spent five years with the Titans, and one with the Green Bay Packers. This is the third time in nine months that Young has been cut by a team. He was also cut by
Other players cut from the Browns today are DB Brandon Hughes, DL Brian Sanford, QB, Alex Tanney, and RB Fozzy Whitaker.
The team signed Connor Shaw this past weekend as well. It is also rumored that Tyler Thigpen who signed with the team when Young signed will be kept on the depth chart as QB along with Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer.
