NBA Rumor: If Cavs Use #1 Will Try to Acquire Lottery Selection

The Cleveland Cavaliers should make the #1 pick in the NBA Draft in about an hour. A new NBA Rumor is to expect the Cavs to try to acquire another Lottery pick if they keep the #1 pick:

That creates some interesting possibilities. Including my exciting post with the Cavs trying to get both Wiggins and Embiid from the Sixers. The Cavs could use Dion Waiters, Tristan Thompson, Jarrett Jack or the plethora of future picks they have to make that trade happen.

If the Cavs draft Andrew Wiggins at #1 expect them to try to find more scoring with the additional pick. Doug McDermott and Nik Stauskas would fit that need. If they draft Jabari Parker expect them to go for a defender that can either protect the rim or shutdown a stellar wing player.

Getting a Lottery pick in this draft seems like it would be difficult but some teams have expectations that they would like to reach and the Cavs could help them while helping themselves. It is also possible the Cavs could move into the late first round as many teams try to keep as much cap flexibility as possible to sign Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James. The Cavs may be able to buy one for just $3 million dollars. They would be foolish not to in this draft.

Who would you give up for another Lottery pick?
