Lil Wayne Predicts LeBron James To Cavaliers, Chris Bosh Possible

The LeBron James Free Agency storyline hasn’t even started. With some players like Carmelo Anthony taking visits and Kyle Lowry, Marcin Gortat and others agreeing to contracts, James sits idly by. Most expected that James, Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade would just return to the Heat after Pat Riley scooped up some other players. Reports started that Bosh and Wade would take huge pay cuts to give the Heat the chance to sign either a big free agent or a number of smaller ones. That quickly was refuted by Bosh’s agent.

Now Lil Wayne, in a story published on XXL Magazine’s online site has weighed in:

“I think ‘Bron going back home,” said Weezy, meaning that he thinks James will head back to the Cavaliers. “Especially with [NBA point guard] Kyrie [Irving] signing that extension…I think ‘Bron might go to Cleveland, and you might see a [Chris] Bosh or somebody like that follow him.”

(A hat tip to Brendan Leister from Draft Browns for the information.)

Lil Wayne, like everyone else, is in the dark most likely and is just giving his guess. Yet rumors and reports continue to come out that things in Miami may not be as simple as we once expected. Just prior to the Wayne information came this tweet from someone who has some pulse of the Heat situation:

Of all the possible options the Cavs seem like the most likely. A young team with shooters where James doesn’t have to do everything himself and can rely on others. An offensive system that is creative enough to use him well while also resting him with David Blatt. His wife gets to return home. And the Cavs would still have the resources to sign and trade or straight trade for another player, Kevin Love, Gordon Hayward or others come to mind, to join Kyrie Irving, Andrew Wiggins and James.

What do you think of Lil Wayne’s prediction?

Wow, so desperate for Lebron rumors that we’re now relying upon Lil’ Wayne? Ridiculous, actually. Lebron is staying put in MIA.

“Why, man, he doth bestride the narrow world Like a Colossus, and we petty men
Walk under his huge legs and peep about To find ourselves dishonorable graves.”

Shakespeare’s Cassius was talking about Julius Caesar not Lebron James.
Juilus was never as popular as Lebron, nor did he ever has as much control of his world.

Lebron’s decision has hampered free-agency and affected every team in the NBA.
Kyle Lowry might have signed with Miami if he knew the “Big 3″ would return.
Instead, the Heat might be facing an historic downfall that might eclipse the Cavs’ fall from grace.

However, “Li’L” Wayne is probably not the best source, but it’s fun to hear.

id love to see miami at the bottom of the league if bronbron walks out. the fans are so fake there its not even funny. granted its a beautiful city so theres many other things there other than sports. but we ARE talking about sports here. as a clevelander who has lived in southflorida myself, coming back to northern ohio was a blessing. i love florida, just hate their sports teams.

When are people going to stop hating on everybody and everything. Man be happy. Sing the happy song. It’s so many men out there that are so emotional about everything. I thought women had that department. I also thought that diamond earrings was a woman’s best friend growing up. Even that has changed. There seems to be more men wearing them today. Maybe that explains all the emotional haters about everything whether its Labron or the miami fans. Man just be upbeat and happy. Get a life!

but as a cleveland sports fan, its difficult to not have some anger towards the more glamorous cities and sports organizations. jealousy? ya alittle bit of that Im sure. just one championship dude. Just One and we’d be happy in Northern Ohio.

What’s funny is that the Cavs will be in the finals and the Heat will be in the lottery – and the Cavs have the Heat’s 2015 first round pick. Karma is a B, Miami.

    • GeorgiaRed

I think the pick is actually lottery protected, so it’d have to be outside the top 14.
