We have had official confirmation from a reporter in Miami that Dan Gilbert’s plane has landed, with Zydrunas Ilgauskas on it:
That plane has been searched for high and low by Cleveland Cavaliers fans all over Twitter. It started with a Tweet from Joe Lull that reported that Dan Gilbert was flying to Florida. A few people did some snooping and found the flight plan as well as the aircraft that was being used. That aircraft was also used to fly to New Jersey the night Kyrie Irving was signed as well as to Cleveland when Gordon Hayward was in Cleveland for a meeting with the Cavs.
Now comes report from a Cleveland reporter that none other then Big Z, friend and ex-teammate of LeBron James, was on that flight:
Big Z being involved with the courtship of James is no surprise. Ilgauskas works for the Cavs, has a close history with James and his retirement was used to get James back to Cleveland last year. Him returning to Cleveland during the NBA season to see Big Z’s jersey be retired was seen as a big deal around the league. Reportedly the Miami organization was upset about it but knew they shouldn’t/couldn’t bring it up to the league.
Now as the NBA world waits for James and Carmelo Anthony to make their decision, Big Z seems to be in town to either do some recruiting or to hammer out the details. Unfortunately for Gilbert, and James, the FFA regulations means fans can follow private planes all over the place. At this point expect that plane to return home empty and another private jet to be chartered quietly whenever Z, James or whoever returns to the Cleveland area.
Needless to say the Factory will keep pumping out information as we get it. We are confident that Cleveland media, Twitter and the rest of the world will continue to provide up to date information on everything LeBron James. For now take a stroll through the last couple days of information on James that we have laid out for you after answering one simple question…
How important do you think Big Z will be to the recruitment of LeBron James?
