Indians Tickets 15% Above Average For Series Vs Yanks

A four game series between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Indians kicks off today at Progressive Field as the Yankees and Indians both look to gain ground in their divisions. Cleveland took two of three in their previous series against the Royals and are currently just six games back in the AL Central despite being a game under .500. It will be Derek Jeter’s final series in Cleveland as his .359 regular season average at Progressive Field ranks the second highest among all visiting players. The Indians won’t be on the Yankees schedule again until and August series in the Bronx. Indians tickets have a regular season home average of $70.82 on the secondary market, but tickets for this series in the will be slightly over the home average. The series as a whole will be 15.26% above the season average.

The series begins tonight, as the Yanks try to recover from the loss of CC Sabathia who could be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. New York is turning to Shane Greene, who is making his first big league start, and he will oppose Cleveland’s Justin Masterson (4-5), who has been dominant at home vs the Yankees going 3-0 with a 0.38 ERA in three home starts. Indians tickets have an average price of $76.29, 8.5% over the home average with a get-in price of $18.

7/8 – Masahiro Tanaka vs Trevor Bauer | Avg. Price: $81.36 | Get-in Price: $25

Indians vs Yankees tickets will have a slightly increased price on Tuesday with an average of $81.36, 15.7% over the home average, and a get-in price of $25. The pitching matchup will be Yankee phenom Masahiro Tanaka (12-3) against Cleveland’s young right hander Trevor Bauer (2-4), looking for his first win since June 16.

7/9 – Brandon McCarthy vs Josh Tomlin | Avg. Price: $72.02 | Get-in Price: $14

Indians tickets on July 9 for the third game of this series will be the cheapest of the series with a current average price of $72.02, just barely over the season average, with a get in price of just $14. Brandon McCarthy will make his first start for the Yankees after being acquired in a trade over the weekend from Arizona for Vidal Nuno. Cleveland will send Josh Tomlin (5-6) to the mound.

7/10 – David Phelps vs T.J. House | Avg. Price: $96.86 | Get-in Price: $28

The final game of this series on Thursday has both the highest average price of the series, $96.86, and the highest get-in price. A pre-game ceremony for Jeter will be held before the final game of the series, the main reason for the increase in price. The featured pitching matchup will be Cleveland left hander T.J. House (1-2) opposing New York right hander David Phelps (3-4).
