Shortly after announcing he’d like to acquire some property in Cleveland to cheer on his friends, LeBron James and Johnny Manziel, Drake took some cheap shots at the city on state at the ESPY Awards Wednesday night.
With Cleveland dominating the sports news landscape the past week, apparently the recording artist couldn’t resist taking few jabs.
First, Drake ripped northeast Ohio’s for its affordable property values, because apparently you’re not living life if you’re not shelling out $1 million for a three-bedroom ranch, via Cleveland.com.
“Two years, $40 million. Now look, some people are happy about it, some people aren’t happy about it. Me, personally, I think it makes sense financially. I mean, you know what $40 million gets you in Miami? A really nice house. You know what $40 million gets you in Cleveland? Cleveland. All of it. You get the whole thing.”
Drake is supposed to be tight with Johnny Maziel, and because Instagram says so, it must be true. But if that’s the case, Drake should probably learn his friend’s name and instead of saying Manziel, called the former college star “Man-ZEEL.”
