Factory Lines: LeBron James Courts Kevin Love, More Drake & Johnny Manziel, David Price & More

Factory Lines is an assembling of Cleveland sports quotes, tweets and headlines that’s published Monday through Friday. Have any tips? Tweet me @DukeofNick to let me know.

The Factory has been all over the Kevin Love rumors. Is Andrew Wiggins in play when it comes to acquiring the three-time All-Star? It certainly looks that way, especially since LeBron James is courting the 6-10 forward.

The 19-year-old scored 21 points in the Cavs’ 96-90 loss to Houston last night, which was his highest total of the summer league. He got all those points shooting just 3-of-5 from the field, but 15-of-20 from the free throw line. Wiggins showed what he’s capable of when he wants to get to the rim.

• Johnny Manziel posts more pictures of Drake to social media than my wife posts to Facebook of our three kids. This latest image comes a day after the recording artist took some cheap shots at the city of Cleveland during the ESPY Awards.

This time, Kevin Durant joined in on the fun:

• At Dawg Pound Daily, editor Jared Mueller compares coaching staffs in the AFC North.

There’s a poll asking which head coach is the best in the division, and Mike Pettine is currently second. Not bad for never a guy who’s never coached a game as an NFL head coach!

• Wahoo’s on First explained why the Indians won’t get any help at the trade deadline, and that includes Rays’ ace David Price.

• Recent Ohio State football commit Justin Hilliard was named a Butkus Award finalist. The award recognizes the top linebacker in high school football. Hilliard will be a senior at Cincinnati St. Xavier High School this season.

• This Sports Illustrated podcast with Lee Jenkins is a must listen for anyone who wants to know about how LeBron’s James’ “Coming Home” essay came together.

Joe Haden conducted his charity softball game last night at the home of the Lake County Captains. Newsworthy notes to come of the exhibition? Brian Hoyer said he’ll be at 100 percent when camp starts, and Travis Benjamin has been rehabbing with Charles Johnson. Johnson was signed off the Green Bay practice squad last year, and it was revealed he had a torn ACL.

The report said Benjamin could be limited in training camp, but nothing is set in stone.
