As a parent of a kid who plays sports, you’ve got the privilege of going all out crazy when your son or daughter flips into beast mode and starts dominating the sport of their choice, and that’s no different for NBA mega-star LeBron James.
The soon-to-be father of three was in Kentucky over the weekend to watch LeBron James Jr. play in the fourth-grade AAU National Championship.
James Sr. was acting as his 9-year-old son’s biggest coach/fan in the building. The four-time MVP even went nuts after Junior scored some big baskets.
Of course if you and I reacted like James, we’d draw stares, and probably be asked to leave. But James is the best player on the planet, so he looks like a pretty cool Dad.
Kentucky coach, and James’ friend John Calipari was also in attendance.
The folks over at USA Today’s For The Win summed up Cal’s presence in the most appropriate way…
“Coach Calipari was there as well
to recruit 9-year-oldsto drop in and say hi to James.”
