When news broke that LeBron James‘ camp requested heightened security at his suburban Akron home, a flood of hopeful fanatics flocked to the four-time MVP’s homestead.
And now that James will be around his home base in Bath Township, Ohio, he thought it might be a good idea to apologize to his neighbors, and he did just that–with cupcakes from a nearby Fairlawn bakery.
Baker Boulevard Decadent Desserts delivered the good just after 7 p.m. Tuesday, accrording to WEWS-TV.
According to ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell, here’s what the card said that accompanied the baked goods:
“Dear Friend, We know things have been hectic in our neighborhood these past few weeks and we are sorry for the chaos. We are so thankful to live in this wonderful community and we are so blessed to have understanding neighbors like you.”
James apparently has tides through his family foundation with the cup cake maker, because the noted stated each box of cupcakes contained six “Just A Kid From Akron Cherry Cola” cupcakes and six “Homecourt Chocolate Chunk” cupcakes.
So, did it work?
One man in Rovell’s story said he’s only seen James around the neighborhood once, but added that it was a nice gesture.
