Factory Lines: Cleveland Browns, Josh Gordon, Justin Gilbert, Brian Hoyer, Joe Haden, Indians Trade Rumors and The Cavs Pursuit of Kevin Love

Factory Lines is an assembling of Cleveland sports headlines, tweets and quotes. Factory Lines is published Monday through Friday.

Training camp has officially started, and Brian Hoyer was in the Browns’ Berea, Ohio facility bright and early, ready to get to work.

• The latest on Josh Gordon dropped early this morning, and the star receiver will learn his fate for a reported failed drug test at his appeal hearing in New York City Aug. 1.

Over at Dawg Pound Daily, Editor Jared Mueller projects this year’s roster while comparing to the personnel who comprised last year’s team.

ESPN.com published this story on Hoyer being up for the challenge of running away with the starting job.

In other Browns news, Justin Gilbert finally signed his contract, while Terrance West may or may not have flunked his conditioning test. If you ask him, he did not.

• And Joe Haden shows why he’s Mr. Cleveland by shooing away a kid in a Steelers jersey, via WFNY.

• In Indians news, Tribe fans are debating whether or not the team should pursue a pitcher or a big bat before the trade dealing. There’s a good chance the team will do something minimal, and add a reliever, seeing that Terry Francona loves his bullpen probably more than his own wife.

These bats could help the Tribe if the price is right.

• The Chicago Bulls have upped the ante for Kevin Love. Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops believes Chicago’s offer is the best one currently on the table.
