Report: Cavs Have Trade & Contract Agreement for/with Kevin Love

What we thought might be true just became almost certainly true with a bombshell from Adrian Wojnarowski regarding Kevin Love:

Now is the time that everything can start to be judged fully. A trade of Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a protected 1st round pick in 2015 is a big amount of youth to give up. In exchange though the Cleveland Cavaliers are getting the best stretch power forward in the game.

Possibly the biggest news comes that the Cavs have a contract agreement with Love for when he opts out after the year. Not sure of the legality of that per se, and Love could always back out since it is just a verbal agreement, but that minimizes any concern about Love leaving after one year. It also shuts down any talk that James has any plans of leaving Cleveland. He is basically on a lifetime contract and the Cavs will have him, Love and Irving at least for the next 6 seasons.

A huge WOJBOMB for your Thursday morning means we can continue to look at how the Cavs will look on the court with all everything LeBron James, dynamic point guard Kyrie Irving, explosive Dion Waiters and two rebounding machines in Tristan Thompson and Anderson Varejao.

Thompson will likely come off the bench with recently signed sweet shooting Mike Miller, Matthew Dellavedova, James Jones, rookie Joe Harris and possible veteran additions of Shawn Marion and Ray Allen. The Cavs still have some youth in Irving, Love, Waiters, Thompson, Delly and Harris but have added solid veterans in James, Miller, Jones and likely Marion and Allen.

There may be small pieces added to the trade, and other teams can surely get themselves involved, but that Cavs still may be able to make another move to try to bring in a rim protecting backup center. A backup point guard may also be in the works but with Irving, Delly, Waiters and James all capable of playing the role it may not be as important.

Today is all about Love. Where is the Love? He will be in Cleveland for the next 6 years!

Now that the WOJBOMB dropped what are your thoughts?
