These 10 free agents should be on the Cleveland Browns radar during the 2016 NFL free agent signing season.

NFL free agency can be hard to predict, especially in Browns town. In the recent past, the Browns seemingly always have a surplus of cash on hand, but are never known as big spenders. In the NFL, that’s not always a bad things, as guys often guys get paid for what they’ve done, instead of what they can do.

But with no dearth of holes on the roster, and some considerable cap space ($37 million per Sportrac) on hand, the new analytically driven Cleveland brain trust has the chance to improve the roster–and all it will cost is Jimmy Haslam’s cash.

These 10 free agents should be targets when the free-agent signing season begins…

Marvin Jones, WR

With an analytically driven front office in place, one would assume Marvin Jones would coveted. He’s 25 and coming off his rookie contract. He’s just starting to produce and one would think his future will be fruitful.

He established himself as a solid No. 2 wideout playing for Hue Jackson in Cincinnati. Playing opposite A.J. Green, Jones was the second-most targeted (103) receiver for the Bengals in 2015, and was second on the team in catches (65) and yards (816).

Even if Josh Gordon isn’t the player he was in 2013, he still makes the Browns’ wide receiving corps. better. With that said, this group still needs some work as it’s still limited by the number of receivers on the roster under 5-foot-11. Jones fixes that problem. He’s 6-foot-2.

Additionally, Jones offers versatility. In Cincinnati, Jackson’s game plans were designed to go vertical and horizontal. Jackson could help the Bengals stretch the field, in an addition to making plays via screen pass–something Browns’ fans have wanted to see for years.

It will be interesting to see what Jones commands on the open market. If Jones has a good agent, he’ll try to get his client No. 1 receiver money, and that price the Browns out of his sweepstakes.
