The Cleveland Browns let go of multiple important players, but they also signed two players from other teams so far in free agency. Who are those players can the new signings make an impact?

It is that time of year again, where rumors ring and breaking news is filled with high-profile free agent signings. Some teams vastly improve and others stay the same. Then there is the Cleveland Browns.

With a plethora of talent hitting the free agent market, the Cleveland Browns failed to bring back four starters and one of the best special teams players in the league. Not only did Cleveland fail to bring back home-grown talent, but they also struck out with key free agents they were linked with.

With a wealth of money available, you would think the Cleveland Browns would be capable of at least maintaining a couple of free agents, right? Look, I am not here to say the Cleveland Browns need to go out on a spending spree and sign all pf the free agents.

Free agency is often fools gold and the big spenders don’t always end up playing football in January (Just ask the 2014 Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 2015 Miami Dolphins). I’m not even saying they need to re-sign all their pending free agents. But come on, give us a sign of life down there in Berea, Ohio.

Something tangible that can give us fans hope is needed. For a team to go out and lose four starters and a stud special teamer in free agency is quite the debacle. Let’s dissect what happened and where the Cleveland Browns went wrong and what the team has done so far in this free agency review.
