The Cleveland Cavaliers have had chemistry issues offensively and struggled defensively under head coach Tyronn Lue, but is he playing the right lineups?

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Atlanta Hawks Thursday 110-108 in overtime at Phillips Arena, but once again relinquished a double-digit lead, which peaked at 19.

It’s a troubling trend. The Cavaliers have blown 20-point advantages against both the Houston Rockets and Brooklyn Nets, both turned out to be losses.

The Cavs’ offense with certain units on the floor looks frustratingly stagnant. Using strong defense to get into the open floor is the recipe for success, but the Wine and Gold’s defensive efficiency (points allowed per 100 possessions) in March is 104.4.

That marked sustained for an entire season would rank 16th in The Association. When looking at the different lineups head coach Tyronn Lue puts on the floor, there is plenty of evidence indicating he should be giving different units more minutes.

Here is a glossary of the statistics I used to evaluate the strength of the lineups.

Stat Glossary Via ESPN.com

MIN- the number of minutes a lineup has played together.

OffRtg- the number of points a team scores per 100 possessions.

DefRtg- the number of points a team allows per 100 possessions.

NetRtg- OffRtg-minus-DefRtg

AST Ratio- the percentage of a team’s possessions that ends in an assist.

TO Ratio- the percentage of a team’s possessions that end in a turnover.

PACE- the number of possessions a team uses per game.

Here are the three lineups the Cleveland Cavaliers have used most this season ranked from worst-to-first. The results may surprise you.
