A new season is here, but does that mean different results for the Cleveland Browns?

Typically, when a new Cleveland Browns regime comes in, results are not different. History speaks for itself. However, the organization’s newest regime led by executive VP of football operations Sashi Brown and head coach Hue Jackson is taking a different approach.

Despite their long-term plan and multi-year rebuild, the feeling with the team is that positive results will be made. It is not a matter of if but instead when.

Still, does that change anything in year one of the Browns’ newest way of building a team? Like past seasons, the expectation is that it will be a long year.

Despite what many assume, a surprise could be seen on Sundays. After all, right now it is just assumptions and results await on the field.

In future years, it is likely that more consistent, positive results will be earned, but what about 2016? Members of the FoS team gave their predictions.

Better Pieces Are Needed Before A Good Record Can Being Earned

I am sad to say it, but I see the Cleveland Browns ending up with three wins and 13 losses this season. Cleveland’s defense is going to be absolutely horrible and the vast majority of their games will be won or loss in shootout fashion.

So to win games this year, the Browns’ offense will have to have great in-game performances. Quarterback Robert Griffin III has looked good so far, as has Cleveland’s wide receivers. Yet, there are too many ifs for me to say the Browns will win more than three games on their schedule.

The Browns’ offensive line has holes. Wide receivers Josh Gordon will be out for the first four weeks, while Terrelle Pryor Corey Coleman will be the newest WR duo Cleveland relies on.

Cleveland’s offense needs more consistent pieces in order for me to have confidence that they will win more games in shootout fashion. The organization is in a rebuilding phase, so I am not upset about where I am predicting the Browns to end up in a few months. However, it might be hard to watch at times.
