Who landed themselves in the Dawg House this week? Let’s find out!

When it rains, it pours. The Cleveland Browns can’t seem to catch a break.

It’s been another tough week for the brown and orange as Sunday’s game was filled with injuries and uncertainties. Not only did the Browns blow a 20-0 lead against the Baltimore Ravens, but Josh McCown was getting  destroyed in the pocket on almost every play.

He left the field at least five different occasions holding his shoulder and limping in pain.

Cody Kessler came within a possession of getting his first action of his career. McCown who’s as tough as a $2 steak wasn’t having it. The veteran finished the game behind the putrid offensive line.  Unfortunately, McCown suffered a left shoulder injury, and Kessler will be the starter on Sunday against the Miami Dolphins.

The Browns also signed  Charlie Whitehurst, aka, “Clipboard Jesus” to back him up. If both get injured, Terrelle Pryor would be the emergency quarterback–and with the play of the offensive line, it’s a possibility.

But it gets worst.

Rookie Carl Nassib, who has been the best pass rusher on the team, broke his hand, and could miss significant time after he undergoes surgery.  Cameron Erving suffered a collapsed lung, and could miss up to a month in recovery. Losing Erving may not seem like a huge deal. But when you consider the Browns didn’t have a true back-up center, it was.

Tight End Randall Telfer also suffered a neck injury during the game.

With the injury to McCown, the Browns are the second team in NFL history to start three different quarterbacks within the first three weeks of a season. Another great record set by the team. But the bigger issue is how the team blew a 20-point lead.

The Browns were in control of the game in the first quarter until the Ravens blocked Patrick Murray‘s point after, returning it for a touchdown. Corey Coleman had his first breakout game, totaling five receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

Isaiah Crowell finally ran the ball with confidence and speed amassing 133 yards and a touchdown. Duke Johnson and Andrew Hawkins looked great as well. They finally played like an NFL team with promise, but in usual Browns fashion, they let the Ravens come back and win the game.

There was a call that decided the game–which I will talk about later in this article, but it shouldn’t have even came to the last possession.  In what’s been a tough week already, here are the four players/coaches in this weeks Dawg House.
