Today was a repeat of more of the same by the Cleveland Browns as the Voice of the Fan is frustrated and disappointed with their product on the field.

The Cleveland Browns looked, if you think it’s possible, worse than usual on the first drive versus the Cincinnati Bengals. They went through the Browns’ defense like a hot knife through butter.

Cleveland’s defense offered little resistance and Cincinnati cruised through a bewildered defense to an easy, early touchdown! The Browns’ defensive backs were so far off the Bengals receivers, that it looked as though Cleveland weren’t in the same county! There also simply was no pressure from the defensive line.

Then, all of a sudden the Browns came to life! First, they kicked a field goal to make the score 7-3 Bengals. As usual, more field goals rather than a lack of touchdowns happened. That’s what causes losses!

Low and behold the Browns scored that elusive touchdown via a 1-yard touchdown run by running back Isaiah Crowell. They actually took the lead, but it didn’t last long!

More from Cleveland Browns

Cincinnati immediately drove down the field and as Cleveland was defending, was called with a holding call on a pass play focusing on Bengals wide receiver Brandon LaFell. However, it wasn’t going to affect the ultimate result, which was a 44-yard touchdown reception.

Now to make matters worse, Browns quarterback Cody Kessler left the game with a concussion and because of the severity of the injury, did not return. Yet, another quarterback goes down! This is beyond ridiculous. Cleveland’s quarterback state tells volumes about the offensive line’s ineptness.

Then to make things even more miserable, the Bengals executed a Hail Mary on the last play of the half! There were five or six Browns to three Bengals and the corners were falling over themselves. Yet, Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green made the catch!

How bad is the defensive backfield on this team? Oh, by the way Cleveland cornerback Joe Haden did not play and instead stood on the sidelines. It is time for him to go. Haden hasn’t played a full season in the last three combined and it is time to trade him.

More from Factory of Sadness

Speaking of injured players, where is  first round wide receiver Corey Coleman? Will he ever be healthy enough to play more than two games? Today was just a sad performance from both sides of the ball from the Browns; A team that lacks playmakers on both offense and defense!

The Browns received the kickoff to begin the second half. Despite having to use rookie quarterback Kevin Hogan (the sixth quarterback used this year), he drove the Browns drove down for a score on a 28-yard scramble.

That was great, but the score changed quickly again as Jeremy Hill maneuvered past a comedy of errors by the Browns’ defense for a 74-yard touchdown run. Can Cleveland’s defense get any worse? Despite having time left on the clock, the Browns were unable to put themselves in a position to win.

The only thing worse than the ineptness of this team is its lack of talent. Today’s final: Bengals 31 Browns 17. Can you say 0-16 for Cleveland?

Next: Should Kessler Start The Rest Of The Season?

It is mind-boggling how many miscommunications and missed assignments continues to haunt Cleveland this year. Yet, the coaches continue to let it happen every game? I’ll give credit that the Browns seem to try hard, but their youth and some of the play calling leaves a lot to be desired!
