This Ohio State mock draft predicts where these 10 Buckeyes will be picked during the 2017 NFL Draft.

The Ohio State Buckeyes promise to make the school’s presence felt yet again during the 2017 NFL Draft.

A few things about this Ohio State mock. This class isn’t as top heavy as the 2016 class, which featured five first round picks in Joey Bosa, Ezekiel Elliott, Eli Apple, Taylor Decker and Darron Lee.

With that said, potentially four Buckeyes could find themselves drafted in the first round when the draft commences in Philadelphia April 29.

Realistically, 10 Buckeyes have a shot at getting drafted, which, if happens would be two short of last season and four off the school record.

The Ohio State Buckeyes official website offered some historical perspective.

"Ohio State’s 12 draft picks missed the NFL Draft record of 14 from one school, set in 2004 by Ohio State. This is the fifth time Ohio State has had at least 10 players selected in a draft with 13 players selected in both 1971 and 1975, and 11 in 1976. The Ohio State program ranks third nationally with 428 NFL draft picks all-time."

The fact that the total number of Buckeyes drafted could reach double-digits for the second consecutive year further speaks to the impact Urban Meyer’s had on the program since taking over in 2012.

John Cooper and Jim Tressel produced a lot of NFL talent, but their drafts never produced NFL talent at this rate.

The Buckeyes will certainly draw for the players they produce, which will only help Meyer in recruiting efforts. The one thing every big-time prospect who comes to Ohio State wants to know, is if wearing the Scarlet and Gray will get to the League.

The NFL Draft continues to offer proof that playing in Columbus is one of the best pathways.

Here’s where you can expect this year’s crop of Buckeyes to be selected.
