#133 – Max Bullough

The Browns finally address their need at ILB with Bullough who led the Spartans defense last year before being suspended for the Rose Bowl. Bullough won’t jump off the page athletically but does have the knack for finding the football. Could Bullough provide the type of play that Pettine got out of Kiko Alonso last year? Probably not but he does provide a thumper in the middle. In the fifth round the Browns can only hope to pull a year one starter out. With the defense needing interior players Bullough is the pick. The offense could be addressed again here, as the team hasn’t added a WR but with Amaro and the talent available in free agency I am not as worried about it. I think Haslam and Pettine want to win now and will try to balance the future (the draft) with the present (draft and free agency). This is a present pick. Not a lot of upside but not a lot of downside either.
