5 reasons the Browns will upset the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1
The No. 1 pick wants a piece of Big Ben
Immediately after Myles Garrett was made the No. 1 pick, he talked about sacking Ben Roethlisberger.
He’ll get his chance to come through on his talk on Sunday, and Ben should get ready, because he’s never seen a Browns defense like this before.
There’s an excitement surround the unit that just hasn’t been there in a long, long time.
New defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has the defense playing aggressive and hungry. On any given play, Browns’ fans should have the expectation that something game changing is going to happen.
In the trenches, the Browns are stacked, with former first-round pick Danny Shelton, along with the biggest surprise of Training Camp, Trevon Coley. And because Williams loves to get fresh bodies in there, expect to see plenty of Jamie Meder, Larry Ojunjobi and sixth-round pick Caleb Brantley, as well.
The line was it takes to put pressure on Roethisberger and force him into mistakes. Roethlisberger’s is an all-time great at making something out of nothing, though, and that’s where Garrett comes in. Ben can run, but he’s not going to outrun Garrett.
Additionally, Le’Veon Bell is playing his first game after sitting out the entire preseason over a contract issue. LaDanian Tomlinson never played in the preseason, but Bell’s not LT. If there’s some early rust there, but loaded Browns front should be to exploit it.
