Cleveland Browns preseason player rankings led by Baker Mayfield, OBJ
Players 68-73
68. Garrett Gilbert: The AAF’s most prolific passer has a shot to make the team, as the Browns’ carried three quarterbacks a season ago. Attended the same high school as Baker Mayfield, although he was four years ahead of the incumbent starter.
69. Wyatt Ray: There’s only so many spots for edge rushers, but Ray, and undrafted free agent will get his looks in preseason play. Could he push Thomas off the roster?
70. Jermaine Ponder: Probably the third strong safety on the depth chart entering camp, behind Burnett and Whitehead.
71. David Blough: The longest of longshots to make the roster, but Blough knows something about long odds, as he was the quarterback who led the Purdue team that knocked off the Buckeyes in 2018. He threw for 378 yards and three touchdowns in his shredding of the Ohio State secondary.
72. Blake Jackson, WR: Spent some time on the practice squad and was actually elevated to the active roster at the end of last season.
73. Dorian Baker: This wideout who played high school ball at Cleveland Heights hight said he grew up a Browns fans, so he’ll have the entire Dawg Pound going nuts for him in the preseason.
