The Cleveland Cavaliers have not selected their first first round pick of a draft outside of the lottery since 2009 when they selected Christian Eyenga 30th overall. That pick did not work out. Sure the team swung and missed on some prospects, just like all teams. Cleveland however has had recent success with Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson.

With a team built to win now and going forward, it will be interesting to see what the front office decides to do during the draft. Hopefully this all occurs after the Cavs win their first championship.  Here is a look at the five best Cavaliers first round picks since 1990.
