Football fans are starting to ramp up their excitement for the sport with team’s training camps currently under way and preseason football just starting. The Cleveland Browns have many new players at key positions including Josh McCown at quarterback. What will the Browns find out about their team during the preseason? Their first preseason game is tonight at home versus the Washington Redskins.

Isaiah Crowell was a surprise last season. There also was plenty of hype surrounding Cleveland’s first round picks in 2014 with Justin Gilbert and Johnny Manziel, but both badly under-performed. Everyone was anticipating Manziel’s play during the preseason as a glimpse of what to come. Unfortunately, he did not have the greatest preseason but did show promise. There also was not much progression from the 2014 preseason through the end of the regular season.

Some of these predictions may be a bit of a surprise, while others are not a surprise at all, given the uncertainty and/or level of frustration has come to the point a change may be needed, etc.

With talented players on both sides of the ball as well as the many story lines that surrounds the Browns, here are five predictions for Cleveland during the preseason, which would impact their 2015 NFL season.
