The top 10 quarterbacks in Cleveland Browns history.

The Cleveland Browns have a long, storied history that dates back to Paul Brown’s founding of the franchise in 1946. Back then, the Browns were the premier professional football team in the World. If the New York Yankees owned the baseball world, the Cleveland Browns were kings of the gridiron.

There was a time that winning championships could be taken for granted on the north shore, as Brown and quarterback Otto Graham  guided Cleveland to seven championships during the organization’s first 10 years of existence.

Other quarterbacks came along after Graham, and played in–and won–NFL title games, while another field general named Bernie Kosar got the Browns within a play of earning a berth in the Super Bowl.

The truth is that if you’re a quarterback in Cleveland, you’re probably the most famous person in northeast Ohio. Cleveland loves their Browns, and that’s why it’s been so heartbreaking to see so many signal callers fail since the team was re-born in 1999.

After Graham, Cleveland fielded some other great, good and OK quarterbacks throughout its history. There’s plenty of bad ones, too, but this list is for the top 10 players to play quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
