After a Cleveland Browns game last week that resulted in yet another loss, could such a result happen again? Soon enough we will know that answer.

Last week versus the Cincinnati Bengals, the Cleveland Browns were unable to stop their losing streak. Had they rushed the ball more, perhaps they would have won. Regardless, a new week is here and another challenge awaits.

Now in Week 15, Cleveland heads to New York to face the Buffalo Bills. As we prepare for the kickoff, BuffaLowDown‘s Site Expert Ryan Brennan joined us to discuss this weekend’s game.

There’s been plenty of talk regarding Buffalo head coach Rex Ryan’s future. Would his future be cemented should Cleveland win Sunday?

Rex Ryan is definitely on the hot seat. However, pertaining to next season, I think Ryan’s future with the team is pretty much already decided. A victory against the Browns — for lack of better words — is expected by the Buffalo Bills this week.

That’s the current mentality in the locker room. Players are also aware that the more wins we have out of these last three games, the better chance this team has at staying together next season.

With a loss vs Cleveland, it will just bring more drama to the team. Drama that will probably get set aside until the offseason.

Given the 27.5 million guaranteed next season quarterback Tyrod Taylor is owed, can Buffalo really build around Taylor going forward? Also, would a bad game Sunday versus a bad Browns team force their hand to look elsewhere?

My biggest thing with Tyrod Taylor is the fact that he just doesn’t have the right supporting cast, as far as receivers are concerned. If Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin were healthy all year, Taylor would’ve been more effective.

It’s hard to build good chemistry with the people catching your passes when it’s a completely different group every week. At the same time, 27.5 million is a huge number.

If Buffalo can stay healthy, they will only need to fill in a few holes on the offense — which they can do in the draft. Again, I think the decision on Tyrod will happen at the end of the season. As long as Rex is coach, Tyrod is quarterback.

Is the most important matchup on Sunday, Buffalo’s star defensive players Marcell Dareus and Jerry Hughes versus Cleveland’s offensive line?

As far as Dareus and Hughes, they both have something to prove on Sunday. Jerry Hughes hasn’t been playing his normal self the past nine games and Dareus already came out and guaranteed Buffalo a victory.

You know both of them are going to come hot, but the man you need to watch for is (linebacker) Zach Brown. He’s everywhere.

With that being said, I believe the key matchup will be RGIII vs. Tyrod Taylor. The Buffalo Bills can run the ball just as well as they can give it up on the other side of the ball. I think this game is decided by the better quarterback.

Do you envision any chance of running back LeSean McCoy having limited success against Cleveland’s defense?

LeSean McCoy is a beast. He’s going to bring his A game every week and is someone you will need to have your eye on every play.

As he proved last week — where he rushed for 27 yards on 12 carries and 1 TD — he could be just as big of a threat on the receiving end.

He finished last week with 81 yards on 6 catches (7 targets). He will find a way to contribute and put his team in a good spot to win.

What is going to determine this Week 15 game and is Buffalo going to extend Cleveland’s losing streak?

As I stated above, I think this game is decided by the better quarterback. However, if they both play mediocre, then the game will go to the better run defense.

I think with Buffalo on the hot seat — yes, the whole team is on the hot seat right now — they will find a way to win with their backs against the wall.

FoS would like to thank Ryan for his thoughts and opinions on Sunday’s game. We also wish his team well the rest of the season.
