Details from Cameron Fields Choices
Chiefs- Luke Joeckel OT Texas A&M
The Chiefs did franchise tag Branden Albert. But the Chiefs still need another tackle on the right side since Eric Winston was released. Joeckel can provide Alex Smith great protection. Coaches can also take into account he protected Heisman trophy winner Johnny Manziel last season.
Jaguars- Dion Jordan DE Oregon
The Jaguars were last in the league with 20 sacks last season. Jordan had five sacks last season at Oregon. He can be that young player/leader the Jaguars need on defense since Pro Bowl cornerback Rashean Mathis was released.
Raiders- Geno Smith QB West Virginia
Most people would disagree with Smith going this high because of his lack of understanding the whiteboard, or plays, but the Raiders are in desperate need of a quarterback. Carson Palmer was traded to the Cardinals. With Smith the Raiders can get a solid quarterback that has a great work ethic, a good arm and can run effectively too.
Eagles- Jarvis Jones OLB Alabama
The Eagles need more pressure on the QB since they only had 30 sacks last season. Jones can give more pressure seeing that he had 14.5 sacks last season and 86 tackles.
Lions- Dee Milliner CB Alabama
The Lions need some serious help in their secondary. For one, they only had 11 interceptions; which was 23rd in the league last year. Dee Milliner can help out because he had two interceptions but also 54 tackles. He could get more interceptions but the 54 tackles shows he is great at stopping the run.
Browns- Tavon Austin WR West Virginia
The Browns lost two key wide receivers to free agency this offseason. Mohamed Massaquoi went to the Jaguars and Cribbs to the Cardinals. They need more receivers to accompany Gordon and Benjamin. Austin can give the Browns just what they need by having 12 touchdowns and 164 receptions last season at West Virginia
Cardinals- Eric Fisher OT Central Michigan
Considered the best offensive tackle in the draft besides Joeckel, Eric Fisher can give the Cardinals help on their offensive line. He has great speed and power. Fisher can also help lower the 58 sacks allowed last season; the worst in the league.
Bills- Matt Barkley QB USC
The Bills traded Ryan Fitzpatrick for Kevin Kolb during free agency this offseason. However they do need to fill their depth chart. With Barkley it is even possible that he can take Kolb’s starting job; Barkley threw for 3,243 yards and 36 touchdowns last season.
Jets- Barkevious Mingo DE LSU
The Jets need help just about well everywhere. But most importantly they need a pass rusher. They only had 30 sacks last season; Mingo can increase this number seeing that he 4.5 sacks and 38 tackles last season.
Titans- Cordarrelle Patterson WR Tennessee
The Titans need a receiver seeing that Jared Cook went to the Rams; he was also Locker’s primary target. Patterson can replace Cook as the primary target seeing that he caught for 778 yards and five touchdowns last season.
Chargers- Lane Johnson OT Oklahoma
Rivers. Needs. Protection. He was poorly protected all of last year being sacked 49 times. Johnson is the offensive tackle the Chargers need to keep Rivers off his back.
Dolphins- Chance Warmack OG Alabama
The Dolphins really need someone on their line since Jake Long signed with the Rams this offseason. Warmack did protect McCarron at Alabama and he could do just the same for Ryan Tannehill.
Buccaneers- Xavier Rhodes CB Florida State
The Buccaneers biggest need this offseason is a cornerback. Rhodes could get that secondary going, especially since they allowed 43 touchdowns last season.
Panthers- Shariff Floyd DT Florida
The Panthers need to beef up their defensive line. They were ranked 14th in run defense last year. Floyd can definitely help with this since he had 46 tackles last season.
Saints- Ezekiel Ansah DE Brigham Young
The Saints need help on their defensive front. They were dead last in total defense and rushing last year. Ansah can give that great pass rush and overall defense the Saints need; he did have 4.5 sacks last season.
Rams- Marquise Goodwin WR Texas
The Rams need a wide receiver to go along with Cook and Chris Givens. Goodwin can be a good fit. He had 340 yards and three touchdowns last season.
Steelers- Bjoern Werner DE Florida State
The Steelers are in great need of a pass rusher now that James Harrison got cut. Werner can bring great pass rush; he had 13 sacks last season.
Cowboys- Jonathan Cooper OG North Carolina
The Cowboys really need protection on Tony Romo. Romo was sacked 36 times last season. Cooper can give the cowboys immediate help on their line; he is a top offensive line prospect.
Giants- D.J. Fluker OT Alabama
The Giants are in a need of a tackle since they only have William Beatty resigned. Fluker did protect McCarron at Alabama and can give the Giants good depth at tackle.
Bears- Menelik Watson OT Florida State
The Bears need an offensive tackle since J’Marcus Webb is still not sure about being on the right or left side. But they did sign Jermon Bushrod. With Watson they could just add some depth at tackle.
Bengals- Eddie Lacy RB Alabama
The Bengals need to add some power with Green-Ellis. Lacy has all of the qualities of a power back. Truck, truck and truck more defensive players. Lacy also had 17 touchdowns and ran for 1,322 yards last season.
Rams(from Washington)- Kenny Vaccaro S Texas
The Rams need help in their secondary since Craig Dahl is a free agent and Quintin Mikell was released. Vaccaro at Texas had 92 tackles, 4.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. With these stats Vaccaro could give immediate help in the Rams secondary.
Vikings- Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri
The Vikings need help on their defensive line since Letroy Guion and Kevin Williams couldn’t play well. Richardson could help a lot since he had four sacks and 75 tackles at Missouri last season.
Colts- Giovani Bernard RB North Carolina
The Colts could add a running back for depth behind Vick Ballard. Bernard could be a nice pickup at 24 since he had 10 touchdowns and ran for 1,228 yards last season.
Vikings(from Seattle)- Desmond Trufant CB Washington
Since the Vikings released Antoine Winfield, they will need someone to replace him. Trufant can be that person. He only had one interception last season but 30 tackles showing he can stop the run.
Packers- Keenan Allen WR California
The Packers lost Greg Jennings to the Vikings this free agency. Now the Packers need a primary receiver for Rodgers. They do have Cobb, Jones and Nelson, but they need depth. Allen could add that. He did have 737 yards and caught six touchdowns last season.
Texans- Justin Hunter WR Tennessee
The Texans really need another receiver that can be a threat besides Andre Johnson. Hunter can be that threat. He had 1,083 yards and caught nine touchdowns last season.
Broncos- Datone Jones DE UCLA
Since the Broncos released Elvis Dumervil, help at DE is essential. Jones can help out because he did have 5.5 sacks and 62 tackles last season. He still needs to refine his pass rush but defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio can help him improve.
Patriots- Tank Carradine DE Florida State
The Patriots need a true pass rusher. Jermaine Cunningham and Jake Bequette are both busts. Carradine will be able to go on the field and rush well. He had 5.5 sacks and35 tackles last season too.
Falcons- Sylvester Williams DT North Carolina
The Falcons need a DT to complement Jonathan Babineaux. With Williams the Falcons get speed and size. Williams had six sacks last season.
49ers- Damontre Moore OLB Texas A&M
The 49ers need depth behind Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks at linebacker. Moore had 12.5 sacks last season. With this stat he can have immediate impact or be a guy for the future also.
Ravens- DeAndre Hopkins WR Clemson
The Ravens need a wide receiver since Anquan Boldin is going to the 49ers. Last season at Clemson Hopkins had 1,405 yards and caught 18 touchdowns. With Hopkins, Flacco possibly has a new target on his radar.
