The Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Colts and Twitter reacted… And reacted strongly. Below are a variety of responses from fans, writers and national media members. Kept it to the clean ones for this post. Some believe the Browns got a good deal, some thought the opposite. All were surprised by the move, some even came up with conspiracy theories. Enjoy. Our reaction will be up early tomorrow morning with as much analysis as we can provide about the why, the future and the reaction.
THINGS WERE GOING TOO WELL IN CLEVELAND. INDIANS ARE CONTENDING FOR PLAYOFF SPOT. BROWNS HAD TO RESTORE PROPER BALANCE TO THE UNIVERSE.

Listening to TJ Houshmandzadeh on Total Access: "Browns lost with Trent Richardson, they can lose without him." Tend to agree.

Browns didn't HAVE to trade Richardson in order to acquire their franchise QB. Feels like for whatever reason they wanted to get rid of him.

Is this Trent Richardson trade a real thing??!
— Jason Kipnis (@TheJK_Kid) September 18, 2013
Note that rookie contract are heavily lopsided in first year. Browns have paid bulk of Richardson contract, over $13 million.

Trent Richardson got traded????

Say what you want about Richardson's production so far.. Bill Polian believes he's one of the 3 best players from the 2012 draft.

Hope Richardson can block for himself

#Browns say Trent Richardson doesn't fit Chudzinkski's offense. You *make* your offense fit a talent like that. Big mistake.

This Browns regime didn't draft Richardson, it's an era where fewer RBs going 1st round and if they don't value him that highly, makes sense
— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) September 18, 2013
Trent Richardson was the No. 3 pick in the draft last year. The #Browns just gave him up for a 1st round pick. That's...not smart.

My son, 8, said to me: What do I do with my Trent Richardson jersey?
— Tony Grossi (@TonyGrossi) September 18, 2013
Trading Trent Richardson is kinda like punting on first down!

maybe i’m old-fashioned, but there’s no way i’d pass up on a battering ram as talented as richardson mid-first round. none.

Final note on Richardson, I don't see how this Colts OL is better than Browns. CLE has top notch C and LT. Colts have, um, well, yeah, guys
— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) September 18, 2013
Browns CEO Joe Banner says the first conversation with the Colts for Trent Richardson was yesterday. Colts been looking for a few days

Source tells me phones at #Browns headquarters ringing off the hook with phone calls from angry ticket holders in wake of Richardson trade
— Daryl Ruiter (@RuiterWrongFAN) September 19, 2013
@WFNYCraig lmao at the presser. Chud "no I don't think any of the players will be mad" Browns players twitter accounts say different lol

Just got home from practice. Excellent value imo. I think Richardson leaves a lot to be desired. RT @TheBrookeV: thoughts on this trade?

But not everyone is surprised in Cleveland's locker room. One key Browns starter, asking for anonymity, tells me the trade "makes sense."
— Jeff Darlington (@JeffDarlington) September 18, 2013
A Browns starter tells me: "It makes sense. Trent has some things he needs to figure out before he becomes a dominant player in the league."

I contend that Mike Lombardi's power base was greatly enlarged by the team's performance in 1st 2 games.

And Finally a Interesting Question:
Dear @directv, is it too late to cancel Sunday Ticket? Signed lowly Browns fans everywhere.
