#83 – Carlos Hyde

The Buckeye in me couldn’t pass on Hyde again. I see a better, faster, stronger version of Alfred Morris with Hyde. His ability to take a one cut and go ZBS play to the house will be amazing. He also showed the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Obviously I am biased as a Buckeye and tried to temper that but if Hyde is available here, which I expect he will at least make it to the Browns first 3rd round pick, then he is my selection. He is big and powerful to fit in the AFC North but nimble enough that he could fit in almost any scheme. Pairing him with Edwin Baker and Dion Lewis makes for a quality backfield with great variety. A couple inside linebackers go off the board following Hyde but my belief in Pettine allows them to slide a little bit. Pettine will look for speedy players to fill that role in his defense. That could mean Craig Robertson it could me a big time free agent, it could mean a trade. Pettine has shown the ability in Baltimore, with the Jets and in Buffalo to make the ILBs special.
