#164 – Brett Smith

The Browns finally address their developmental QB they need for the long term by selecting Smith after getting their starter for the following year in Bridgewater. Smith could easily rise up the draft boards by the time his film is focused on. Some have described Smith as a taller more focused version of Johnny Manziel. If this is an appropriate description then the team would be in good shape with Smith and Bridgewater to learn behind Hoyer for at least a year. Smith’s ability to improvise helps a Browns team that hasn’t addressed their offensive line in this draft or in free agency.
