#106 Ahmad Dixon

Again while the offense needs help the need to take talent over need is important. Dixon hits both problems as a high ranking tough safety who can play next to Donte Whitner, play excellent special teams for a year or two and develop into a rangy hard hitting safety for Pettine. A safety who can cover as well as lay a hit on players is a huge need for the Browns.

Dixon has played some linebacker as well as safety but has grown leaps and bounds in his coverage skills. For the Browns Dixon can play in some sub packages while he develops into the type of safety Pettine wants. Drafting a safety higher is a distinct possibility but with Dixon here he had to be the selection.
