We are back with out 7 Round Cleveland Browns’ Mock Draft. There are many Mock Drafts out there, and unlike seasons past we Cleveland fans have very little information on what the Browns might do. At this point at #4 they could take either of the offensive tackles (Jake Matthews or Greg Robinson), either of the premier defenders (Jadeveon Clowney or Khalil Mack), the premier offensive weapon (Sammy Watkins), one of the 4 QBs rumored to go high (Johnny Manziel, Blake Bortles, Teddy Bridgewater or Derek Carr) or one of any number of surprise candidates that we will cover this upcoming week.

For now we know where they will be drafting, the needs that they have and the people making the decisions. We know Ray Farmer loves football players who lead and like to Get Down the Field. We know Mike Pettine is a defensive minded coach who has specialized in a 3-4 hybrid type defense, and that he is intense. We know Kyle Shanahan is the offensive coordinator and will bring in a version of the Zone Blocking Scheme along with his creative play action pass offense. That is what we know at this point in time. We also have some idea of who the Browns tried to get in free agency that they didn’t. They sought some cornerbacks, wide receivers, linebackers and defensive linemen that didn’t end up in Cleveland. That may be a hint towards what they want to upgrade in the draft as well.

So for our FoS 7 Round Cleveland Browns Mock Draft we can only make choices based on that information. While many see a need on the offensive line, the Browns didn’t seem greatly interested in any of the free agents that could of filled those needs. They did pursue Matt Schaub for the QB position but weren’t willing to give up the draft pick needed to get him, does that mean they are sold on a guy in the draft or don’t see a big need to upgrade over Hoyer? More questions, less answers. We again used FanSpeak’s awesome Mock Draft Simulator to create our Mock Draft, we do our own for our 1st round Mocks, which lets us simulate real life picks, surprises, etc. On to our draft:
