Weekly FoS NFL Mock Draft: 1st Round (What Jared Would Do)

26. Cleveland Browns (from Indianapolis)
Teddy Bridgewater
The Chiefs and Cardinals could take him, and another team could leap frog them in a trade, but with Bridgewater on the board we pounce. I would actually trade a 3rd and 4th to move up if needed to get either him or Manziel. The Browns must develop their passer of the future but by taking him here at 26 they have no need to rush him. Let Brian Hoyer start for at least a year and get Teddy ready.
27. New Orleans Saints
Jace Amaro
Not to replace Jimmy Graham but to compliment him. Amaro has a less physically gifted game but adding a weapon will help Drew Brees on the backend of his career.
28. Carolina Panthers
Morgan Moses
While most look at receiver as the primary need, the Panthers need a left tackle to protect franchise guy Cam Newton. Moses may not be the high end player Robinson or Matthews is but can develop into a steady starter for the next 10 years if he stays healthy. Music to Cam’s ears.
29. New England Patriots
Allen Robinson
He played under ex-Pat Bill O’Brien and knows the system. The Patriots need a reliable bigger weapon and Robinson is it. Tom Brady will love Robinson’s ability to high point the ball and his precision route running.
30. San Francisco 49ers
Timmy Jernigan
Hard to find a swing for the fences type player here, with their depth that would be my move, so instead the solid Jernigan gets the call. Justin Smith can’t play forever. Getting a replacement for Aldon Smith could be high on their list and Ryan Shazier almost got the call.
