Jeff Garcia was supposed to be the scrambling quarterback the Browns needed because their offensive line couldn’t block a herd of dead cattle.

Cleveland will forever be the asterisk on a good NFL career, as Garcia enjoyed success in San Francisco, before moving to the north shore. Even after he left Cleveland, he helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to the playoffs. He even made the Pro Bowl with the Buccaneers in 2007.

Still, Garcia is probably remembered for two things in Cleveland. One, he’s the only Browns quarterback to win the first game of the season since 1999, and two: The salacious details from when his 22-year-old Playboy Playmate girlfriend went to trial for a misdemeanor charge of karate-kicking his ex-girlfriend in a barroom argument.
