Three-star cornerback recruit Damon Arnette (@da_arnette) made an official visit to Columbus this weekend, but it’s not yet known if it was enough to convince the 6-foot-2, 185-prospect to become a Buckeye.

Technically, Arnette verbally committed to South Carolina and coach Steve Spurrier last November, but the closer we get to signing day, the more it appears that Arnette will be a Buckeye.

This is especially true ever since Carlton Davis decided to flip to Auburn. According to Eleven Warriors, Arnette is the player most likely to replace Davis.

Meyer visited Arnette in Florida before this weekend, and then the prospect made the trip north to re-exchange pleasantries with Meyer.

And like Porter Gustin, Arnette got to hold some hardware, too.

Just think about what kind of recruiting power that trophy most hold? No other school has one like it.  UNDISPUTED.
